Why Stretching in the Shower?
My Go-To Shower Stretch Routine
- Neck Rolls: I start by gently rolling my neck from side to side. This helps ease any stiffness I might be feeling first thing in the morning.
- Shoulder Shrugs: Next, I raise my shoulders up towards my ears and then let them drop back down. I usually do this a few times while letting the warm water stream down my back.
- Arm Circles: With my arms extended out to the sides, I make small circles, gradually increasing the size. It feels great, and it really helps wake up my shoulders.
- Forward Bend: I gently bend forward at the hips, letting my arms dangle and head hang. This stretch feels amazing for my lower back.
- Calf Stretch: Finally, I’ll lean against the wall or shower wall, place one foot behind, and lean into it to stretch out my calves. You can alternate feet for a balanced stretch.
